I'll have to post the Dutch and Belgians for you..see how many you recognise Wink we've probably got around 20 club names for each of the old European countries if you follow my drift...we don't bother thinking up clubs for the "new" post 1990 nations...

I've added the English/Welsh clubs our boys represent to the above - the ones that don't really match up are my Dads original clubs who he didn't want to lose when the newer more reality based names were added...similarily a lot of the less obvious names and/or older clubs play in kits that don't match their real life counterparts..Liverport for example play in ref 21..Fareham in Claret and Blue..Shocked despite being Liverpool and Everton because thats the teams he bought way back when Shocked

whereas my Scottish clubs all wear a kit as worn by the real club at some point ...apart from Dalkeith...who I bought a 173 for back in the 70's and now play in 154...

Thanks for adding team names Ralph Cool Great to read the origins / reasons for some teams and kits .It never occurred to me as a child (or since tbh ) To use made up team names , or plays on real teams .However it was commonplace I reckon because I've had loads of HWT teams go through my hands over the years , many with some great made up team names and players written on /and or in the boxes .Good thread mate , although I fear solo playing is lost to a lot of folk on forums Wink

I certainly know of a couple of other Leagues run the same way..I think the mix of original names and later purpose devised names is my fault as Dad thought I would be more likely to take an interest with more "realistic" names ... dunno if thats the case really,I'm sure I'd have been interested anyway I'm one of these football fans that has always had an interest in the more unusual clubs/leagues...I don't think many kids in my mid 1970's Burnley Primary school had an indepth knowledge of the Northern Premier and Cheshire Leagues... but I did... I take it you are related to Peter says he ? then follows the epic question ...... what do you know about Melchester CITY ?! the circle of friends had all played together in the local church youth club back in the 50's...

We have two Euro competitions run by the main man ... He does a Champions League style one with Group games BUT just for Champions as it should be ...

I think the Cup Winners.. League Cup winners..and then the highest placed couple of League sides play in his Fairs Cup style compo.. I know something my Scottish clubs never do well in either these days Crying or Very sad Very Happy I usually get handed a list of crushing defeats to add to my records at some point well before the Finals...Sad Laughing

Nervous stuff on the final day as all the important games in the top two divisions finish in draws...Ashbury's one all draw at home to in form Launcester is enough to preserve their status...despite a brave Wolverton draw at Liverport the Wanderers are down after 12 years in the topflight ..

In the Second Division Wanderers Black country neighbours Westborough draw at Champions Eastoke to take the third promotion spot after Kirkhampton can only draw at relegated Ashford Villa and Leesdale are held at home by bottom club Whiteburn...

Meanwhile Bradwick Park Avenue survive in Division Three after a home win over Milnecambe..Emsall and Colbrook also win but its all in vain..next seasons Third Division will include an incredible 8 sides from the White Rose county

2011 - 2012. 5th May 2012

well they will certainly be one of the favourites..big club in the 70's and 80's not done much since I'm afraid..but they have won the League twice and the League Cup once...

I couldn't honestly say but I think 1970's rather than 80's .. I've got all my Scottish records computerised but the English stuff is typed out and stored in files in my Dad's study .. I think computerising the English records is a project I may well attempt in the near future as I don't think Dad is about to take it on !! but its now 57 years worth if I do decide to start entering it all on to a computer Rolling Eyes maybe I'll do it as a surprise for him...not much on telly these days is there ? All I have on here at present is a running total for honours -

Blackton Albion

Champions 68-9 and 73-4

League Cup Winners 84-5....4-2 v Kirkhampton

unsurprisingly at that time I have a feeling I was Kirkhampton in that Final Rolling Eyes

A rare event in this afternoons Cup Final..very rare

Dunwich City 0 Trentham Hotspur 0 AET

of course no penalties Rolling Eyes replay Wednesday evening .... Jim Launcester are already in Europe next season after winning the League Cup in February..also qualified are Dunwich regardless of the replay result as Trentham are Champions...

Replay...Dunwich 0 Trentham H 1 (Werdekker 74 minutes)...another tense affair....press black out to be lifted later Laughing ...Trentham complete the double and are still in Europe although we still seem to be at the semi-final stage for some reason Rolling Eyes as the man in charge is currently in Albufeira it could be a while before we get any further on that front Laughing Laughing
