thought there is enough time to elapse before december lionhearts to propose couple of date options given that its the xmas month.

so can you let me know next couple fo weeks if think you will be attending and which date you prefer or if either are ok for you:-

4/12

11/12

venue will be bracknell town FC unless anyone wants to offer their house up to host.

cheers

jon

Very nice!

I suppose the next question is, will you be rolling up a baize and popping a couple of goals into your suitcase? Or are you taking a break from the biggest adrenalin rush of all?

Unfortunately, I won't have time Steve. I'm doing Instructors Course and Race Coach training, both are quiet intense, with exams and paperwork in the evening.

Jon

JP, Smudger and Zoran are all very busy at the moment with multiple commitments.

Not sure what Adam is up to. Haven't seen or heard a thing since the World Cup held at Wycombe, unfortunately. Will try and catch up with him through facebook, or something?

4/12 is looking good for me. Desperate for a flick. Haven't played for ages.

So 85% certain to attend, unless any unforeseeable family or work things pop up.

just got the all clear from her nibs Jon, so as long as Lee is still driving , I'm in!

got the subby fever back this weekend after a mate came over for his annual visit & was fascinated by the subbuteo collection - brought back loads of memories for him of when he used to play in the 70's

after the kids had been put to bed, ended up playing a mammoth 3 hour game ending velez sarsfield 8 - 7 PSG !!

next morning his two kids played for an hour with my boy - all good fun - glad to report the baize saw more action that the wii ;-)

ended up giving them a spare 70's club edition to keep them all entertained back home

what equipment do I need to bring - is it classic HW's only or are top spin / santiago's allowed?

I assume my repainted Stefan Corda classic HW's are allowed ;-)

Jp can't make it unfortunately.
Waiting on spud and vic.

Gents, shall we go for a maximum of five defenders for the meet re:our previous discussion?
Vote "yes" or "no" here

I vote "yes"

Or are there any other formation ideas?

Fine with me.

Although if I end up attacking Jim's goal with 9 attackers (e.g. from a 3rd consecutive corner), then he is morally obliged to defend with 9 defenders...all in the penalty area... Very Happy

Just to clarify guys - I mean five defenders in formation not that you can't move other players back or forwards during play.

Formations ...

I'm a 4-3-3 fan, so suits me.

But it's a bit silly really, as your first two flicks can be to bring two midfielders back to join the defence.

Rolling Eyes

Polishing ...

Lionhearts is an OldSubbuteo club that plays to OldSubbuteo rules. In the OldSubbuteo rulebook, polishing is permitted before each game. I'm with the rulebook on this one.
