| That takes me back a bit! That was this pic, just before I played the 2006 World Cup Final with my Dad (Italy v France)  Things have changed a bit since then... Initial set-up in the new location (without the camera and screen wired up)  With the cam and screen...  I will have to do an updated picture from the same angle as the first 2 and post it. |

Quite a few with a little story behind them (for example, having to respond to Gullseye's suggestion of winching up the beer and pies from the 'old shops'! | I have just viewed the slideshow. What a truly wonderful experience of total bonkerness it was. The Subbuteo Room, sorry Cathedral (stained glass windows !) is superb. I would like some of those glass cabinets.
Nice to see you took up my suggestion re The Great Wall of Fingers. Although I do feel guilty about that poor bloke on winching duty. Was it punishment for missing a penalty in his last match? |

| just watched the slide show - absolutely bloody marvellous - so many favourites
the bus of ken bailys - the cameo scenes in the cupboards, the goodyear blimp - the list goes on
& the best thing is we can all use the slideshow - the next time our significant others think we are getting out of hand with our obsession, we can show them this...... " Oh no love, it could get much much worse, take a look...." |

Also, I ought to give some context to the various pics in time. For example, one of the 'cameo scenes' is a game of 'Wembley; the ball in the paste bucket is a missed goal attempt playing Adam (in the first ever game in the new room), and a couple of the stained glass window scenes are pics of members of the oldsubbuteo community (Ottiko, fabio, fafao, and also Roberto - which when you consider they will always be looking over the stadium of fingers, is quite poignant really)

This is the thing I'm proudest of all.
To you it may seem a silly thing, but it is a gesture that I appreciated so huge, SoF is the most beautiful stadium in the world and the child-Claudio is part of it!
I love Steve and I love his stadium, literally.

| But that's what the stadium is for claudio - the silent voice communicating to the child within... Hey Gullers, the book is 'Teenage Flicks', published in 2008. Paul Willets (author) and Andi Sapey (photographer) spent an afternoon immersed in the Stadium of Fingers to get photos for their book, which is essentially a selection of subbuteoic reminiscences from a bunch of old boys.  Large, readable version... http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3179/2984608809_d8e03803ba_o.jpg The pics they were particularly interested in were the models of 'the oldsubbuteosti'.
